Use These Ways to Prevent Allergies in Children

Allergy is an exaggerated reaction of the body against foreign things or called allergens. When allergens enter into a person's body, the immune system of the person who has allergies will be active and lead to overreaction.

Prevent Allergies in Children

Here are some ways you can do to prevent allergies:

- Choose the air conditioner or air purifier tool which already using a HEPA filter (high-efficiency particulate air). HEPA can work eliminating allergen particles, such as dust, animal dander, dust mites and cigarette smoke.

- Clean the dust using a vacuum, at least twice a week. This is to prevent accumulation of dust particles and allergens in the home area.

- Avoid using the carpets, upholstered furniture, and curtains with fabric that facilitates dust clinging.

- It should not keep animals at home. However, if you still want to do it, make sure the animal is outside the home or keep animals from several places, for example, a child's room. In addition, clean the animal and cage regularly.

- Use an air humidifier (humidifier) to keep moisture in the house. Humidity level which is greater than 50% can cause bacteria, mold spores, and dust mites easier to stay at home.

- After doing the activity all day outside the home, change clothes immediately when you arrive at home. This is to avoid the allergen particles stuck in some household supplies.

- If you have a garden in front of a house, cut the grass regularly to avoid the appearance of the powder as an allergic trigger.

- Avoid using a feather duster when cleaning home because it can spread the allergen particles. Instead, use a clean cloth has been soaked or cleaning fluids.

- Clean up kitchen regularly in order to avoid mildew that can lead fungal growth.

If you can identify the cause’s factor and be able to avoid it, then the allergic reaction will be going away from children and other family members.
